Katara Washington Patton is the author of eight books, including her latest bestseller, Navigating the Blues, which debuted on Amazon’s best sellers list. She enjoys writing about biblical principles in a relatable and accessible manner.
With 20 years of experience as an editor in Christian publishing, she also speaks regularly to writers about the publishing industry. Katara holds an M.Div. from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, a master’s in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, and a Bachelor of Arts from Dillard University.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Derrick, and their daughter, Kayla, and loves a good Zumba class and a challenging game of Scrabble.
